👑 You’ll be SHOCKED when you finally see it! (There can only be one king!)
Today on #CrackYourBible’s apologetics / Bible study, we’re talking about how there was no (earthly) king in Israel / Roman Judea during Jesus’ time. Once Jesus left Egypt, to the Jesus’ ascension, He was the only King in Judea and Israel.
✝️ From the Bible we know
- King Herod destroyed all the baby boys under the age of two in Bethlehem and the surrounding region. Matthew 2:16-18
- Tetrarch Archelaus reigned over Judea when Jesus returned from Egypt. Matthew 2:19-23
- Tiberius was Caesar, Pontius Pilate was governor and Herod Antipas and Philip were both tetrarchs during Jesus’ lifetime. Matthew 14:1-4, Luke 3:1
- King Herod Agrippa was king after Jesus ascended into heaven. Acts 12.
