Hey Fam!
Let me speak on something real quick because I agree with this man on Twitter.

False Rape Accusations Are Evil
So many Christians (almost exclusively women) don’t want to take responsibility for their own sexual sins, so they’ll claim that they were raped.
Real Victims Are Ignored
When people falsely claim rape, it hurts the real victims of sexual assault. I speak from experience as someone who was raped and went to the police the same day. Although this is not an experience that I allow to define my life, it’s also not something that I’ve hidden. For example, I’ve talked about (in two episodes of #CrackYourBible) the fact that I was kidnapped from my home and raped by a guy I was trying to break up with at the time.
You can check out both episodes below:

That’s Not Rape
If you and the person you had consensual sex with were of age, you were not raped. You were not sexually assaulted.
- Being verbally peer-pressured or nagged into having sex is not rape.
- Having sex that you didn’t enjoy is not rape.
- Having sex that you regret is not rape.
- If you gave verbal consent, and at no point verbalized that you were withdrawing consent, you were not raped.
- If a person declined to have sex with you, you were not raped (ex: Potiphar’s wife in Genesis 39:14-15.)
- If you consented to exchange sex for favors or money (ex: a promotion) you were not raped.
You Can’t Fool God
Committing sexual sin, and then rather than taking responsibility and repenting of your sin, you choose to falsely accuse someone of a serious, life-altering crime, you are evil and God will repay you for your sin.
“The judges shall inquire diligently, and if the witness is a false witness and has accused his brother falsely, then you shall do to him as he had meant to do to his brother. So you shall purge the evil from your midst.” – Deuteronomy 19:18-19 ESV
“For we know him who said, “Vengeance is mine; I will repay.” And again, “The Lord will judge his people.” – Hebrews 10:30 ESV
While others may believe your lies and maybe you’ve convinced yourself of your lies, you can’t lie to God. In other words, don’t play Him. God can’t be fooled.
Repentance Is Key
To sum up, if you have ever falsely accused someone of such a crime, you need to repent to God and turn yourself into the authorities if any negative action was taken against the other party. While God forgives, He does not remove earthly consequences for sin.
