If You Don’t Ask, You Won’t Receive Justice

If you don’t care enough about your cause to show up, why would anyone else?

I’ve noticed something recently:

People complaining about XYZ person who didn’t get a memorial, a march, etc when they were murdered.

Don’t Expect Someone Else To Organize Your Cause

Complainers: if you don’t organize a march or vigil & don’t petition your local government, what do you expect?

Organize & petition government if you want a #GeorgeFloyd style memorial for the victim you care about. If you want awareness and outrage for the murder of your victim of choice, then you have to take initiative and do the leg work. Nobody’s going to do it for you.

You have just as much the right to petition & protest. It’s not media favoritism if the other party shows up to bring awareness to their pet issue & you don’t show up for your issue.

The Persistent Widow

If the widow never asked and kept asking – an actual person in charge – for justice, her case would have never been heard. She would have never received justice.

“And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart.

He said, “In a certain city there was a judge who neither feared God nor respected man. 3And there was a widow in that city who kept coming to him and saying, ‘Give me justice against my adversary.’

For a while he refused, but afterward he said to himself, ‘Though I neither fear God nor respect man, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will give her justice, so that she will not beat me down by her continual coming.’”

And the Lord said, “Hear what the unrighteous judge says. And will not God give justice to his elect, who cry to him day and night? Will he delay long over them? I tell you, he will give justice to them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?” – Luke 18:1-8 ESV

If Your Don’t Ask, You Won’t Receive

If you don’t organize, don’t alert the media by emailing beat reporters a press release for your event, don’t go to city council meetings and request a vote for a vigil to be put on the agenda, you forfeit your right to complain.

If you don’t ask, you can’t receive. Apparently people have forgotten this little piece of common sense when they claim that their pet causes aren’t getting the same type of attention as other people’s causes.

Personal Story – Get Things Done!

If you want something done, ask the right people.

There was an extremely unsafe major street here in Vegas. It cut between a huge shopping plaza to connect to a highway. It had no protected turns out of either shopping plaza, no stop signs, and no stop lights.

I went on Twitter and tweeted a screenshot of the location on Google maps and described the problem. In about 6 months a whole new intersection with four traffic lights were put in.

It really doesn’t take a lot of effort to get your pet issue addressed, but you still have to do the work!

COMBAT BAD THEOLOGY

RACHEL N. STEPHENS

“Absolutely recommend. Rachel’s no BS approach to the gospel is what
we need. I love watching her videos on YouTube and am thankful for the
wake up call each video provides.” - Jamison Donoho

“Well, as a degreed theologian and writer/nerd on all things biblical and
textual, I have to say that Rachel's work with the text is some of the finest,
most unpretentious, and authentic I have ever come across, and I listen to
a LOT.
It is refreshing to see my generation producing solid people with good
biblical chops to deal with the nonsense that is out there marketing itself as
"sound teaching".
This is one group I will be praying for regularly.
Rachel, you have a gift. Keep using it. Provoke people to crack their Bibles.
May the neck-deep Blessings of the Father's gravitas be yours.” - David
Michael MacNelley

“You know Rachel, I’ve been watching your videos for a year. I have
come to the realization that I went to bible college, yet you know more than
I do. How can that be? I went to class, did the assignments, studied, tested
well, and yet there is so much you present that was never even talked
about. I don’t know if I should be ashamed or if they should.” - Jenniferlyn
Toland

COMBAT BAD THEOLOGY - CRACK YOUR BIBLE
#Forgiveness doesn't mean #reconciliation. You can forgive from far away.
That was #theplan all along.
CYB Fam, we have some homework today!
This week on #Crackyourbible, I'm bringing back a special guest to talk about how the false doctrines spoken of in 1 Timothy 4:1-5 are embraced by the church today, especially in relation to the global situation.
"Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There he is!’ do not believe it." - Matthew 24:23 ESV
For #2021makeawish, my hope is that everyone remembers that we are our brothers' keeper and that we're to love our neighbors, not try to kill them through our own selfish entitlement.
